About the company
After spinning off its speciality chemicals business in 2023 (Syensqo), Solvay has concentrated on providing a broad spectrum of chemical products and intermediates to various consumer and industrial sectors. Founded in 1863, Solvay now operates through five main divisions: Soda Ash and Derivatives, Peroxides, Silica, Special Chem, and Coatis. The company is also the world’s largest producer of soda ash and sodium bicarbonate, with 45 industrial sites in 41 countries.
